GOVERNOR'S INDUSTRIAL SAFETY AND HEALTH CONFERENCE Confined Space Rescue Level 1 - Employer Based Confined Space Rescue - TACOMA

This 7.5 Hour Confined Space Supervisor Course was built from the WAC 296-809-50014 standard for permit-required confined space rescue teams. The class will cover employer sponsored rescue team requirements, training and proficiency requirements for rescue teams, rescue permit entry procedures, use of rescue equipment, how to evaluating rescue teams and response times, and the roles of the rescue team members. Successful attendees will show proficiency by performing a team rescue in a horizontal and vertical space.

The EPA and WA State requires all contractors who may disturb lead paint on pre-1978 homes to become a Certified Renovator.

The fines hurt: Up to $10,000 for each violation!

To become a Certified Renovator, you must have someone from your firm take an 8-hour course with a hands-on component. Your firm must then apply for certification as a firm with an on staff Certified Renovator.

HAZWOPER Refresher for DSW Workers Only - June 1, 2019

Annual 8 hour HAZWOPER refresher for disaster site volunteers who participate in emergency response to disasters. The class will include physical activity and scenarios. You do not have to have a HAZWOPER Certificate to attend, but you will not receive a HAZWOPER card if you are not current with your refreshers. This is an invitation-only event from the LDC for those renewing their HAZWOPER cards or that need additional training for emergency response. This class will cover emergency response planning for chemical, biological, nuclear, radiological and explosive (CBRNE) events.
